CANYON, Texas | The Tuskegee University women's basketball dropped their final contest at the Pak-A-Sak WT Thanksgiving Tournament, falling to Cameron 84-71 Saturday night.

After leading throughout the first half, Tuskegee (2-5) could not overcome a sluggish second half in which they were outscored by 16 in the final 20 minutes. The Tigerettes finished the night shooting 39 (23-of-59) percent from the floor, while also connecting on 25 (4-of-16) percent of their three-point opportunities. The Tigerettes hit 63.6 (21-of-33) percent from the free throw line, while forcing 18 turnovers.

Rachel Brownlee continued her streak of consecutive games in double figures for the Tigerettes, reaching 32 consecutive games, as she poured in 20 points in the loss. The senior finished 6-of-17 shooting from the floor, and also connected on 8-of-11 free throw opportunities.
Jamese Abney came off the bench for Tuskegee to add 15 points in the loss, hitting on 6-of-10 of her shots from the floor including a trio of three-pointers.

Jalynn Estrada led Tuskegee on the boards with seven rebounds, while a trio of players – Brownlee,
Cheyanne Williams and
Teja Finley – each grabbed five in the loss.

Cameron finished the night shooting 39.5 (30-of-76) percent of their shots from the floor and a blistering 42.4 (14-of-33) percent from beyond the arc. They also finished the night shooting 76.9 (10-of-13) percent from the free throw line, while hitting on 23 second-chance points.

Tuskegee returns to action Wednesday night on the road at Georgia College, playing as part of a doubleheader with the men's program.
