ATLANTA | Taliyana Bryant paced three players in double figure kills for Tuskegee University, but it wasn't enough as the Lady Golden Tigers fell to Clark Atlanta 3-1 (24-26,18-25,25-23,22-25) on the road Saturday.
Bryant finished the day with a match-high 20 kills, hitting .576 on the day for the Lady Golden Tigers. The freshman also added a pair of digs in the four-set loss.
Shakayia Wilson and
Jessica Johnson each added 12 kills in the loss for Tuskegee; with each hitting .300 or better on the day. Wilson finished the day hitting .364, while Johnson finished hitting .529.
Zahria Radford paced two players in double figure digs, posting 23 in the loss. She also added three assists and two service aces. Meanwhile,
Brianna Fisher added 11 digs and a pair of service aces in the loss.
Janae Graham finished with 43 assists on the day, assisting on all but 12 kills on the afternoon. She also added four digs and one assist.
Tuskegee (10-15, 10-7 SIAC) finished the day hitting .367 with 55 kills on 109 attempts, while recording 54 total digs as a team.
The Lady Golden Tigers return to action on Wednesday, hosting Albany State University in SIAC action at Chappie James Arena. The match begins at 6 pm, and it is Senior Night for the Lady Golden Tigers in which Tuskegee will recognize a pair of seniors playing their final home match.
