INDIANAPOLIS | The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) attendance numbers have been released, and Tuskegee University is ranked in the top 10 nationally in attendance per home game.
The Golden Tigers averaged 9,960 fans per home game to lead all HBCU schools in NCAA Division II, and the number was second only to Grand Valley State (11,699) in the country. Tuskegee led three other HBCU schools in the top 10, with Albany State (7,752) being the next closest in attendance - a difference of 2,208 people per game.
Not only was Tuskegee the top HBCU in the country in attendance, but the Golden Tigers were also instrumental in the SIAC drawing the largest turnout of the season - averaging 6,271 people per game.
