Tuskegee, AL – The Lane Dragons caused the Golden Tigers climb in the SIAC Western Division to come to a halt, to the tune of 76-68.
Tuskegee took an early lead and maintained it during the majority of the contest. The game was tied twice and the lead only changed once, Lane took the helm and maintained it for the rest of the contest.
The Golden Tigers went on a 4-0 run to open the first half, Lane responded with a jumper, however a layup by Tuskegee increased the lead back to four-points. The layup proved to be the first of a 12-0 dash by the Golden Tigers. The Dragons were unable to score again until the 13:02 mark, yet they rallied back into the contest. Going into halftime the score was 33-30.
The second half proved to be a brawl as both teams fought to the finish line. With 6:38 remaining the game was tied for the second and final time, Lane took the lead exiting the tie and this proved to be the Achilles heel for the Golden Tigers.
David Alexander paced Tuskegee with 18-points, four rebounds, three assists and one steal, while
Vladmir Tilme tallied 16-points, five rebounds and one block. Jason Vinson added 11-points, four rebounds and one assist.
Kevin May led the team with eight rebounds, while adding four-points, seven rebounds and one steal.
Terrance Bridgeman led the Dragons with 29-points.
