Women Basketball Falls to Stillman

Tuscaloosa, AL– The Tuskegee University Tigerettes were unable to bring down the Lady Tigers of Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, dropping a heart breaker 76-66. Angel Mitchell, once again proved to be problematic for Tuskegee, as she led Stillman with 16-points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Both teams went scoreless in the opening minute of the contest. The Tigerettes were able to start scoring with layup by Kaylen Ward in the paint. Stillman responded with a shot from downtown to take a one-point lead in the following seconds. Scoring was at a standstill until Stillman scored at the 16:27 mark. From that point, the Lady Tigers built a sizable lead, going into halftime up 35-17.

Tuskegee's scoring for the second half started with a couple of free throws by Rachel Brownlee, to cut into Stillman's lead. An intense rally by TU fell short, however they outscore the Lady Tigers 49-41 in the final half.
