TUSKEGEE, Ala. | James Eads led two players in double figures as Tuskegee University won their second consecutive game over a member of the Peach Belt Conference, defeating Georgia Southwestern 58-48 at Chappie James Arena on Saturday.
Eads finished the night with 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor, while
Camden Foster finished with 10 points and eight rebounds. He also added four steals in the victory for Tuskegee (3-1).
Andrew Jimenez came off the bench to score eight points, while
Joshua Culver grabbed seven rebounds and
Elijah McMillan six for the Golden Tigers.
After falling behind 19-10 in the first half, Tuskegee outscored Georgia Southwestern 48-29 over the final 29 minutes to seal the win.
The Golden Tigers shot 42.4 (25-of-59) percent from the floor and 75 (6-of-8) percent from the free throw line. They also won the rebounding battled over Georgia Southwestern, 39-36.
The Hurricanes were led by Adam Thoseby with 12 points and Jue Gunija with 10.
Tuskegee returns to action at home on Tuesday night as they host 20th-ranked Montevallo at Chappie James Arena. Tip is set for 7 pm.
Admission is $5, free for Tuskegee University students with a valid ID.
