Chelsea Azore continued her hot start to the season as she scored in double figures for the third consecutive game, but it wasn't enough as Tuskegee fell to the University of North Alabama 71-48 on the road Thursday night.

Azore shot 7-of-16 from the floor in 28 minutes, grabbing six rebounds in the loss for Tuskegee (1-2). Although she was the only player in double figures for the Tigerettes,
Demetries McNealey and
Rachel Brownlee each added eight points in the loss.

After leading 14-12 at the end of the first quarter, Tuskegee watched as North Alabama used a 21-9 run in the second period to take control. The Lions led by 10 points at the half and never trailed over the final 20 minutes of play.
The Lions used a 9-0 run to stretch the lead to double digits, leading 33-23 at the break.
The lead only grew in the second half. Tuskegee made only 10 shots from the floor over the final two quarters while the Lions were 14-of-38 from the field, including a trio of three-pointers.

Elise Holden led North Alabama with 20 points, while Keke Gunter finished the game with 10 points, seven rebounds and six assists for North Alabama.

The Tigerettes return to action Friday night on the road against Gulf South Conference foe, the University of Alabama-Huntsville. The game tips off at 7 pm.
