TUSKEGEE, Ala. | The Tuskegee University women's basketball will hit the road Thursday to take on the University of North Alabama at Flowers Hall in non-conference action.
 
Tip is scheduled for 6 pm.
 
Tuskegee (1-1) enters the came fresh off of a 71-69 victory over Gulf South Conference member West Georgia, and will be playing their third consecutive GSC school Thursday.
 
Chelsea Azore leads the Tigerettes, averaging 15 points per game, which includes a season-high 18 against West Georgia. The senior has scored in double figures both games, while attempting 24 shots – second most on the team through two games.
 
Junior Rachel Brownlee is second on the team in scoring at 13 points, and is the team's leading rebounder at 9.5 rebounds per game. Brownlee, a 5-8 guard, recorded a double-double against West Georgia with 14 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. She also scored a team-high 12 points against Valdosta State.
 
Meanwhile, senior Demetries McNealey is averaging 10 points per game this season, and sealed the victory on Sunday with a three-pointer with only 35 seconds remaining on the clock.
 
Freshmen have seen the court through the first two games for the Tigerettes, including Tyler Everett with two starts. Everett is also averaging nine rebounds per game, which includes 11 against Valdosta State. Kierra Ward did not play in the first game, but responded with 13 points against West Georgia; while Ashley Johnson has played in both games – playing a combined 42 minutes.
 
The last time the two teams met was before either coach was on the bench, back in 2012-13, which resulted in a Tuskegee victory.
 
Meanwhile, North Alabama (0-2) was picked to finish fifth in the Gulf South Conference and have dropped their first two games of the season. The Lions are led by Shunice Herron at 13.5 points per game, including scoring 15 against Nova Southeastern.
