ATLANTA – The Golden Tigers dropped their SIAC opener against Morehouse College, 79-66.
The contest started rocky for both teams, the first point was a free throw by Morehouse (18:17). Tuskegee responded with a layup by
Camden Foster. The Golden Tigers'
David Alexander landed a layup to extend their lead. Heading into the break, TU was up by two, 30-28.
Alexander paced the Golden Tigers with 12 points, two rebounds and one assist, while
Kevin May and Foster added five points. As a team, Tuskegee pulled in 19 rebounds and three assists.
The second started with a put back by Morehouse's Robert Askew, however Foster dropped a three-point basket to extend the Golden Tigers' lead to three. Just under the 15-minute mark Tuskegee was up by 11, however MC rallied back to win the contest.
Alexander ended the game with 24 points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal. Foster finished with 12 points, two rebounds and one assist.
Vladmir Tilme led the team with seven rebounds.
The Golden Tigers (3-5) will be back in action on Monday night against Benedict College (3-4) in Columbia, South Carolina.
