Tuskegee – The Tuskegee Lady Tigers traveled to Birmingham, Alabama, to take on the Lady Bears of Miles College and the Lady Tigers of Stillman College in the Miles tri-match. Tuskegee defeated Miles 3-0 (25-22, 25-13, 25-22) and Stillman 3-1 (25-21, 25-20, 25-21, 29-27).
In the contest against Miles,
Pamela Allen tallied 11 kills, five digs, four blocking assists, one solo block and one serving ace.
Kristal Woodard had a good game as well, bringing in seven kills and four block assists.
Aarin Huffman had 10 assists to help clinch the win for the Lady Tigers of Tuskegee.
In their contest against Stillman, Tuskegee was paced by Allen with 20 kills, four digs, four solo blocks, four block assists, and one serving ace.
Tesharia Judkins recorded a double double with 10 kills and 10 digs; two block assists and one serving ace. Huffman recorded a game high of 18 assists, one ace and nine digs.
In two games the Lady Tigers (Tuskegee) combined for 101 digs, 74 kills, 70 assists, 24 block assists, 14 serving aces and eight solo blocks.
Tuskegee will be in action again when they travel to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on October 4
th to compete in the West Cluster hosted by Stillman College. The team is scheduled to play Kentucky State University at 8:30 AM, LeMoyne-Owen College at 1:00 PM and will wrap-up with Lane College at 4:00 PM.
Catch the Lady Tigers when they host Spring Hill and Miles College on October 9
th in the Tuskegee tri-match. First serves are scheduled for 1 and 5 PM.
