Courtney Pritchett begins his first year as an assistant coach at Tuskegee University.
Pritchett comes to Tuskegee after spending two years at Darton State College as an assistant coach and the facilities manager.
Pritchett spent the better part of eight years in Union Springs coaching high school girls basketball in Class 4A of the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA), as well as serving as the lead administrator for the department.
Last season with Pritchett on the staff, Darton finished 28-5 falling in the GCAA Regional Tournament championship game. During the year, the team reeled off winning streaks of seven games to start the season and nine to end the season. They finished 16-2 in the conference, outscoring their opponents by an average of 20 points per game in conference play.
During his time at Darton, Pritchett assisted with recruiting as the coordinator. During that time, Darton landed signed some of the top junior college classes in the state of Georgia. Pritchett was also responsible for the strength and conditioning program for the program, and served as an academic coach for the student-athletes.
Pritchett received his Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy from Alabama State University in 2005, and his Masters in Special Education (Secondary Level) in 2009. He is currently working toward his Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
