Justin Hannah enters his first season as defensive back coach at Tuskegee University.
After completing his Tuskegee career with 18 interceptions and three returned for touchdowns, Hannah was named to the 2010 HBCU All-America Team. His notable accomplishments include: First Team All-SIAC (2007, 2008, 2009); Preseason First Team All-SIAC; 2009 Postseason SIAC Co-defensive Player of the Year (coaches voted); SIAC Defensive Player of the Week (October 10, 2009); Tuskegee-Morehouse Classic MVP 2009 and Co-MVP 2008, 2009 Daktronics All Super Region 2, Second Team Defense; 2009 Consensus All-American HBCU Team; 2009 Russell HBCU Senior Bowl, (West Team Captain); 2009 Division II Football All-American HBCU Team; 2010 Sheridan Broadcasting Sports Network's Black College All-American Team; 2010 SIAC Player of the Year by the Pigskin Club of Washington, DC, and by the 100% Wrong Club, Atlanta Georgia. During Justin's career, the Golden Tigers won 42 games, four SIAC Conference Championships and one 26-game winning streak that garnered a HBCU National Championship Title.
After seeking a position with the NFL's Cleveland Browns and the Canadian Alouettes, Justin pursued a six-year career in the Arena Football League. His accomplishments include "Pulse Player of the Week 17 (Community activism), San Antonio Talons and "The Grade" Project, (Getting Responsible Athletes Determined to Excel) with the New Orleans Voodoo (Community activism); 2013 Arena Football All-Star Team (West), Honolulu, Hawaii, and Beijing, China.
Hannah attended West End High School, Birmingham, Alabama, where he was on the football basketball, and track and field teams. His notable achievements were 2006 All-State; tied a state record for interceptions in a single game; 2006 All-Metro (DB); 2006 All-City (WR, DB); 2006 Grid Forecasters Most Outstanding Wide Receiver; "Old Spice" Red Zone Certificate; and being a participant in the Nick Bollettieri's Tennis Camp in Birmingham, Alabama.
He received his athletic training through the A. G. Gaston Boys and Girls Club, Birmingham, where his undefeated football team participated in National Youth Championship, Daytona Beach, Florida, 1998-2001. He is the youngest son of Jocelyn Hannah and John Hannah. He has a daughter, Kendyl Hannah.
