Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Golden Tigers Roll to Sixth Straight Win with Commanding Victory Over Spring Hill

TUSKEGEE, Ala. — Tuskegee men's basketball used a strong second-half surge and efficient scoring from its backcourt to secure a 77-62 SIAC victory over Spring Hill on Tuesday night at the Daniel "Chappie" James Center.

After a competitive opening half, Tuskegee gradually took control after the break, leaning on defensive pressure and timely shooting to stretch the margin and close out the conference win.

The Golden Tigers shot 35.9 percent from the field for the game while knocking down 10 three-pointers and converting 17-of-22 attempts at the free-throw line.

Tuskegee carried momentum into halftime before opening the second half with improved pace and spacing on offense. The Golden Tigers outscored Spring Hill in the final 20 minutes, capitalizing on transition opportunities and points off turnovers to build separation. Tuskegee finished with 19 points off turnovers and 17 fast-break points, helping blunt Spring Hill's attempts to rally.

Khalil Genwright led all scorers with 24 points, delivering one of his most efficient performances of the season. The junior guard went 8-of-14 from the floor and connected on five three-pointers, adding eight rebounds, two assists, and a steal in 29 minutes. His perimeter shooting helped break open the game during key second-half stretches.

Kusamae Draper continued his strong play with 16 points and seven rebounds, attacking the paint and drawing contact while finishing 6-of-8 at the free-throw line. Draper's physical presence helped Tuskegee maintain control inside during extended scoring runs.

RJ Walker added 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting, including four three-pointers, while contributing four rebounds and a team-high five assists. Meanwhile, Anthony Wright chipped in 12 points and seven rebounds, giving Tuskegee balanced scoring across the lineup.

Tuskegee finished the night with 36 rebounds and 16 assists, sharing the ball effectively while limiting Spring Hill's perimeter efficiency. The Golden Tigers held the Badgers to 33.3 percent shooting from three-point range and forced difficult looks down the stretch.

The victory keeps Tuskegee moving forward in SIAC play as the Golden Tigers continue to build consistency on both ends of the floor.
