TUSKEGEE, Ala. __ Tuskegee's men's basketball team enters the SIAC Basketball Championship quarterfinal round with a 14-13 overall record and an 11-9 mark in conference play.
The Golden Tigers advanced to this stage after securing a dominant home victory over No. 7 seed Benedict in the opening round of the tournament.
Now, they prepare for a highly anticipated matchup against Albany State, the No. 3 seed from the East Division, on Thursday, March 6, at 8:00 p.m. ET inside Forbes Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
The winner of this quarterfinal contest will move on to the semifinals, set for Friday, March 7, at 8:00 p.m. ET.
ABOUT TUSKEGEE (18-9, 14-5 SIAC)
Tuskegee has been a balanced squad this season, combining a gritty defensive approach with a capable offense.

The Golden Rams have been a strong offensive team, averaging 72.4 points per game while shooting 44.5 percent from the field and 33.8 percent from beyond the arc.
Their defense has also been formidable, holding opponents to 71.5 points per contest and limiting their field-goal efficiency to 43.6 percent. ASU has excelled on the boards, posting a +1.2 rebounding margin while averaging 36.2 rebounds per game.
Shakur Poteat has been the driving force for Albany State, leading the team with 18.2 points per game while shooting 44.2 percent from the floor and 40.5 percent from three-point range.
Blaise Wallace has been a dominant presence in the paint, averaging a double-double with 13.7 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. G'Shan Aldridge has been a playmaker, averaging 4.5 assists and 9.9 points per game, while Kendale Johnson adds 8.8 points per contest.
