ABOUT TUSKEGEE (4-3, 4-2 SIAC)
Tuskegee enters the final road swing showing continued growth on both ends of the floor, particularly on the defensive side. The Golden Tigers have held opponents under 60 points in multiple contests this season and have relied on balanced scoring, interior defense and improved ball movement to remain competitive throughout SIAC play.
Shemaiah Mackin continues to anchor the lineup with her physical presence in the paint, leading Tuskegee in scoring and rebounding while shooting efficiently around the rim. Senior guard Arianna Durrell has emerged as a consistent perimeter threat, stretching defenses with her three-point shooting while also providing secondary playmaking.
Tuskegee has also shown improved rebounding margin and second-chance scoring over the past several games, a key area as the team faces two physical opponents to close the year.
ABOUT SAVANNAH STATE (6-2, 5-2 SIAC)
Savannah State enters Wednesday's matchup as one of the more athletic teams in the conference, averaging over 70 points per game while emphasizing tempo and transition offense. The Tigers have been effective at forcing turnovers, generating steals at a high rate and converting those opportunities into fast-break points. Savannah State's offense is led by a balanced backcourt that features multiple double-figure scorers, while their frontcourt provides length and rim protection.
Defensively, Savannah State allows just over 65 points per game and ranks among the SIAC leaders in defensive rebounding, limiting opponents to one shot on many possessions. The matchup presents a contrast in styles, with Savannah State looking to speed the game up while Tuskegee aims to control the pace and execute in the half court.
ABOUT EDWARD WATERS (6-3, 5-2 SIAC)
Friday's contest against Edward Waters presents a different challenge, as the Tigers face one of the league's most efficient offensive teams. Edward Waters enters the week averaging over 64 points per game while shooting above 40 percent from the field.
The Tigers are particularly dangerous from the perimeter, connecting on nearly 32 percent of their three-point attempts, and feature multiple guards capable of creating offense off the dribble. Edward Waters also does its damage at the free-throw line, ranking near the top of the conference in free-throw attempts and percentage, a statistic that has helped them close games late. Defensively, Edward Waters relies on pressure and aggressive on-ball defense, forcing opponents into contested shots and rushed possessions.
Both road games offer Tuskegee an opportunity to close the year with momentum, sharpen execution ahead of the conference stretch run, and measure progress against two contrasting SIAC opponents.
