ABOUT TUSKEGEE (0-0, 0-0 SIAC)
Tuskegee enters the new season following a pair of exhibition games, a road matchup against Division I Eastern Michigan in Detroit as part of the "Hoops Culture Classic" and a home win against Talladega during Macon County Education Day.

The Golden Tigers, led by sixth-year head coach Benjy Taylor, return several experienced players highlighted by all-conference performer Kusamae Draper, while guard RJ Walker will take on more of a leadership role.

Transfers Derrek Bolton III, Anthony Wright, and All-SIAC First Team member Khalil Genwright will all look to add production and stability to the lineup after strong preseason performances, while Tuskegee looks to remain a balanced inside-out scoring attack.

In their exhibition win over Talladega, the Golden Tigers were led by Genwright's 19 points and seven rebounds, while Draper added 11 points and 11 rebounds in the 73-70 victory.

ABOUT WEST FLORIDA (0-0, 0-0 GSC)
West Florida opens the year looking to rebound from an 8-20 (7-15 GSC) finish last season but enters 2025–26 with renewed energy under head coach Justin Mann. The Argonauts were selected ninth in the GSC preseason poll and feature two newcomers named to the GSC Players to Watch List in Demarcus Demings and Divine Igiede.

The program returns key contributors from last year, including the team's second leading scorer Elijah Wyche, who averaged 11.3 points per game while shooting 53.9 percent from the field and 4.4 rebounds per contest. The Argonauts averaged 73.1 points per game as a team, ranking among the top offensive units in the GSC in field goal percentage (.450) and assists per game (11.8).

Friday's matchup will mark the first meeting between the programs since the 2022-23 season, with both teams aiming to make an early statement against regional competition.

ABOUT AUM (0-0, 0-0 GSC)
Tuskegee's second matchup of the GSC/SIAC Challenge comes on Saturday, November 15, against host AUM, a team looking to take a major step forward after a competitive but inconsistent 2024–25 season.

The Warhawks finished 9-18 overall and 6-16 in the GSC last season. AUM averaged 78.0 points per game last season while shooting 44.1 percent from the field and 33.8 percent from three-point range. Defensively, the Warhawks gave up 83.4 points per game, but forced nearly 14 turnovers per contest, relying on pressure and active hands on the perimeter.

Saturday's matchup will mark the first meeting between the nearby programs since the 2018-19 season.
