Trio from Tuskegee Athletics Selected to Attend NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum in Dallas

TUSKEGEE, Ala. — Tuskegee University is proud to announce that three Golden Tiger student-athletes have been selected to participate in the 2025 NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum, which will be held November 20-23 in Dallas, Texas.

Representing Tuskegee athletics are Torain Alleyne (men's tennis), DaJhay Norton (softball), and Assistant Athletic Director Deborah Rodgers.

The trio will join more than 300 student-athletes, coaches, and administrators from across the nation for four days of leadership development, networking, and collaborative training aimed at preparing the next generation of collegiate leaders.

The NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum, themed "Adjust Your Sails," is designed to help participants explore and strengthen their leadership styles, understand the importance of teamwork and inclusion, and identify ways to positively influence their campuses and communities. Attendees will take part in high-energy workshops, keynote sessions, and team-based challenges that emphasize growth, resilience, and service.

"This is an incredible honor for our student-athletes," said Reginald Ruffin, Tuskegee Vice President and Director of Athletics. "Torain, DaJhay, and Assistant AD Rodgers all exemplify leadership both on and off the field and in their respective roles. Their selection reflects Tuskegee's ongoing commitment to developing individuals who lead with integrity, compassion, and purpose."

For each participant, the forum offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with peers from across all NCAA divisions, share experiences, and bring back new insights to strengthen the Tuskegee Athletics community.

The NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum, created in 1997, has served as a life-changing experience for more than 5,000 student-athletes who have grown personally and professionally due to their attendance. Student-athletes selected to attend the forum return to campus with invaluable leadership skills, a refined understanding of the relationship among personal values, core beliefs and behavioral styles, and the support of a close personal network of like-minded peers to provide continued connection and dialogue after the program concludes. This best-in-class programming experience serves as a transformational opportunity for student-athletes and administrators to build a leadership toolkit and develop vital self-awareness that allows them to realize their potential. All participating student-athletes must be in good academic standing and have demonstrated a strong desire to lead.
