ATLANTA, Ga. __ The Golden Tiger football program was well represented at this year's Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Media Day, highlighted by preseason Defensive Player of the Year Mikeal King Jr., among others.
Tuskegee was picked fourth in the preseason vote, following an 7-4 record in 2023, finishing just one win short of reaching the program's second consecutive SIAC Championship game. The Golden Tigers bring back experience at several positions, including a number of All-SIAC performers.
Tuskegee will open the 2024 season against CIAA opponent Johnson C. Smith on Sept. 1 at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery in the fourth annual Boeing Red Tails Classic, as part of the Montgomery Kickoff Games on the ESPN family of networks.
