ATLANTA, Ga. __ Following last week's win, linebacker
Kaquan Kimber has been honored as the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Defensive Player of the Week for his outstanding performance in Tuskegee's commanding 42-0 victory over Morehouse on October 5.
Â
Kimber was a disruptive force on the field, leading the Golden Tigers' defense with eight total tackles, including seven solo tackles. His high-impact performance was highlighted by a sack for a 10-yard loss and two tackles for loss totaling 11 yards, which consistently put Morehouse's offense on the back foot. Kimber's aggressive play in the trenches helped Tuskegee hold Morehouse to just 144 total yards of offense, including only 53 yards rushing on 28 attempts.
Â
Kimber's efforts contributed to a dominant defensive outing, where Tuskegee notched its second consecutive victory, shutting out Morehouse in the longest-running NCAA Division II classic, "The Granddaddy of All Classics."
