Golden Tigers drop midweek home matchup against Montevallo

TUSKEGEE, Ala. – Tuskegee baseball dropped a midweek non-conference game on Wednesday, falling behind early in an 11-1 loss to Montevallo held on Washington Field.
 
On the third at-bat of the game, the Falcons got on the board with a two-run homer from Sam Kuchinsk in the first, before crossing the plate four more times in the third to take a dominating lead.
 
Montevallo followed later with six runs in the fifth, led by a group of five players all driving in runs in the frame.
 
Tuskegee got on the board in the seventh after a pair of hits and a walk led to the bases being loaded, Rhyan Hayes (Chicago, Ill.) drew a walk on the next at-bat for the score.
 
Foster was the winning pitcher, going just one inning, striking out all three batters he faced.
 
Jaylen Hill (Jonesboro, Ga.) started on the rubber for the Golden Tigers in the loss. The pitcher surrendered two runs on three hits over two innings, striking out one and walking one. Cody Willis (Montgomery, Ala.), Cayden Smith (Arlington, Texas), Robert Snead (Powder Springs, Ga.), and Nicholas Pratt (Atlanta, Ga.) each entered the game as relief, throwing two innings, one inning, one inning, and one inning respectively.
 
Pratt, Kyle Douglas (Atlanta, Ga.), Cyree Broughton (Stockbridge, Ga.), and Torian Bunkley (Riverdale, Ga.) each managed one hit each in the game.
 
Kuchinski went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Falcons in hits.
