TUSKEGEE, Ala. __ Tuskegee football will return to action on Saturday as they travel to Savannah State for a road SIAC matchup, scheduled for 3 p.m. ET inside of Theodore A. Wright Stadium.

The Golden Tigers (5-2, 4-1 SIAC) are coming off a 41-38 loss on the final play last weekend against Edward Waters, their first conference regular season loss since 2021, despite 461 yards of total offense.

GAME NOTES
- Tuskegee (5-2, 4-1 SIAC) will take on Savannah State on Saturday, Oct. 21 inside of Theodore Wright Stadium for the first meeting between programs since November 11, 2000.
- The game will be streamed live on ESPN+. Fans can listen live on the Tuskegee Digital Network (Tuskegee Athletics Facebook) and the Black College Sports Network with Frank Lee (play-by-play) and Ken Woodard (analyst).
- Tuskegee and Savannah State will play one another for the 21st time in series history, with the Golden Tigers holding a 14-6 record against the SSU. The teams met for the first time in 2001, with Tuskegee taking a 71-0 win. TU also took the last matchup in 1934, with Tuskegee winning the first eight games of the series, while the Golden Tigers have also won the last four matchups. The last win for Savannah State came in 1996, as SSU took a 20-12 win.
- Tuskegee has won 13 of its last 16 games, dating back to a win over West Alabama on September 17, 2022, the 700th all-time win in program history, the most among HBCUs and second most in Division II history. Tuskegee fell on the road to Alabama A&M earlier this year, while the other loss was the 2022 SIAC Championship game to Benedict.
- The Golden Tigers are 17-8 (.680) in their last 25 games in October, and 29-11 (.725) in the month dating back to the 2013 season, which includes a 11-4 (.733) home record, 8-6 (.571) on the road, and 11-1 (.917) record in neutral site games.
