Fuquay-Varina, N.C. __ Tuskegee women's basketball player Ashiala Jackson (Merrillville, Ind.) has been named the BOXTOROW HBCU National Player of the Week.
Jackson, a redshirt-senior from Merriville, Ind., averaged 16.5 points, 15.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals while shooting 47 percent (14-of-30) from the field in helping the Golden Tigers go 2-0 this week. In the victory over Miles (1/28), Jackson scored 22 points, grabbed 20 rebounds, had three steals and made 10-of-19 shots from the field.
