  • The two teams met last season with West Alabama taking a 33-7 victory in Abbott Memorial Alumni Stadium.
  • Receiver Keynon Webb (Lithonia, Ga.) finished the last week's contest with a career-high ten receptions for 103 yards, including a 25-yard touchdown. Meanwhile Antonio Meeks (Lilburn, Ga.) and Jordan Ogletree (LaGrange, Ga.) both caught three passes in the game.
  • Tuskegee also forced a pair of turnovers against the Pirates, with Moore finishing the day with five tackles, including one for loss and an interception, followed by Stanley Livingstone (Carson, Calif.) who accounted for four tackles and picked off a pass in the end zone in the second quarter.

  • A win would also give new head coach Reginald Ruffin his 66th victory as a head coach and first at Tuskegee University.
