TUSKEGEE, Ala. I The Golden Tigers
swept Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponent Kentucky State over the weekend, winning games by scores of 13-1, 7-1 and 5-0.
Tuskegee (25-11, 18-1 SIAC) jumped out to an early lead in the opening inning of game one, starting with a three-run homer from
Jada Chadwick (Columbus, Ga.), followed by a score from
Kendra Gibbons (Lineville, Ala.) on a sacrifice bunt from
Dyamond Brown (McDonough, Ga.).

The Golden Tigers added to their lead later in the frame with an RBI double from
Cecelia Tennessee (Houston, Texas) to score
Myracle Hawkins (Morrow, Ga.), before going up 6-0 after two after Chadwick singled to drive in
Kaeley Roldan (Wahiawa, Hi.) for her fourth RBI of the game.

After holding Kentucky State scoreless again in the third and fourth, Tuskegee exploded for seven runs in the bottom half of the fourth to go up 13-0. Tennessee started off the inning drawing a walk and advanced to second on a bunt before scoring off and RBI single from
Jayme Marbury (Alexander City, Ala.).

They added another run two batters later with an RBI double to drive in
Kayla Wright (Millbrook, Ala.) and Marbury, before scores from
Makayla Betts (Harvest, Ala.) Brown, and Hawkins for the final runs. Kentucky State crossed the plate in the fifth, however could not rally to close the game in the game.

Tuskegee started fast again in game two, scoring four in the first. Chadwick drove in the first run with a sacrifice fly to score Roldan, followed by RBI doubles from Gibbons and
Nylah Strange-Lindley (Sulphur Springs, Texas) to go up 4-0.

Marbury earned another RBI in game two with a single to drive in Hawkins in the second, while Gibbons scored her second run of the game on a groundout from Strange-Lindley to close the third up 6-0.

Tuskegee added their final run in the fifth with a bunt from Tennessee to score Brown, while Kentucky State ended the shutout in the seventh with a run on an error in the final inning.

The Golden Tigers totaled 18 hits in the two games of day one, led by Gibbons who tallied four combined hits on the day, along with four scores and three runs batted in, while Chadwick added a pair of hits, five RBI and a run scored as well on the day.

Aryiana Stoneback (Notasulga, Ala.) earned the win in game one, working five innings and giving up just two runs while striking out six batters. Rolden picked up the win in game two, pitching a complete game and surrendering five hits and just one run.

Tuskegee completed the series sweep on Sunday, with a pair of runs in the fourth and three in the sixth for the 5-0 win.

Strange-Lindley had a day in the regular season finale, driving in the two runs in the fourth on a single to center field to score Chadwick and Gibbons, before a double to left to drive in the same two runners again in the sixth. The xxx also scored herself later in the frame on a sacrifice bunt from Tennessee for the final.

Stoneback earned her second win of the weekend, working a complete seven innings, allowing just three hits and striking out ten batters.

Strange-Lindley led Tuskegee at the plate in the final game, going 2-for-3 while driving in four runs and scoring one of her own. Meanwhile, Chadwick, Gibbons, and Wright all recorded hits on the day, with Chadwick and Gibbons also both scoring a pair of runs in the win.
