TUSKEGEE, Ala. I Tuskegee (16-9, 9-1 SIAC) swept a Friday doubleheader against LeMoyne-Owen by scores of 8-0 and 15-0 in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) play at the TU Softball Field.

Sophomore
Alexis Paredes (Pelham, Ala.) pitched a no hitter through five innings, striking out five of 16 batters she faced.
The Golden Tigers started off the offense in the bottom of the first after loading the bases and scoring after a batter was hit by a pitch and took a 2-0 lead on the next at bat on an error. They added another pair of runs in the second, with
Cecilia Tennessee (Houston, Texas) scoring for the second time after a bunt single from
Kaeley Roldan (Wahiawa, Hi.) and an error before the final run on another bunt single from
Kendra Gibbons (Lineville, Ala.).
Tuskegee added to their lead in the fourth, the first on a sacrifice fly from Roldan to score
Myracle Hawkins (Morrow, Ga.), followed by a third score from Tennessee and a solo home run from Gibbons to take a 7-0 lead heading into the fifth. The Golden Tigers scored their final run to close out the game with
Nylah Strange-Lindley (Sulphur Springs, Texas) walked and later scored on a throwing error.
A trio of Golden Tigers earned a pair of hits in the game, led by Tennessee who went perfect from the plate and scored three runs along with Gibbons with two runs batted in and Rolden who added two runs and drove in a score.
Tuskegee 15, LeMoyne-Owen 0
Game two was another shutout for Tuskegee, as they led from the start after nine runs in the first inning.
Makayla Betts (Harvest, Ala.) drove in the first run of the game on a single to left before scoring later in the inning off a double from
Anaya Carter (Chicago, Ill.). The Golden Tigers scored their next five runs off opponent errors, including one off a bases-loaded walk and added their final two with a two-run homer from Gibbons to take the 9-0 lead.
Tuskegee continued to capitalize off mistakes in the second, adding another pair of runs off an error before Betts drove in two runs to end the inning. They added their final two in the third to take the 15-0 win, outscoring the Magicians 23-0 on the day.
The Golden Tigers recorded 15 hits in the second game, including a pair of batters with three hits and five with at least two hits in the game. Rolden picked up the win, allowing just two hits and striking out six batters.

The two teams will close out the weekend series with the third game on Sunday, starting at 1 p.m. at the TU Softball Field.
