TUSKEGEE, Ala. I Tuskegee (17-9, 10-1 SIAC) completed their weekend sweep against Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) opponent LeMoyne-Owen with a 17-0 win on Sunday at the TU Softball Field.

The Golden Tigers led from the start, getting on the board in the bottom of the first on a wild pitch after loading the bases before Kendra Gibbons (Lineville, Ala.) drove in the remaining runners with a three-run homer to left field. They added their fifth run of the inning with an RBI single from Alexis Paredes (Pelham, Ala.) to score Myracle Hawkins (Morrow, Ga.), who doubled earlier in the inning.

The onslaught continued in the second as Tuskegee took a double-digit lead, starting with a walk from Kaeley Roldan (Wahiawa, Hi.) to lead off the inning and a double from Kayla Wright (Millbrook, Ala.) to drive in Roldan. Later in the inning, Dyamond Brown (McDonough, Ga.) tripled down the right field line to drive in a pair of runs and was followed by a triple from Nylah Strange-Lindley (Sulphur Springs, Texas) to left to score Hawkins for the 11-0 lead.

Eleven total batters earned hits on the day, including Gibbons and three other Golden Tigers (Hawkins, Strange-Lindley, and Wright) with two hits.
