GAME NOTES
- The Golden Tigers are getting back healthy after starting the season down two key pieces. Guard Gregg Boyd (Pleasant Seat, Md.) has seemed to find his rhythm offensively after missing all last season with a career-high 40-point game against Morehouse, while Devin Booker (Chicago, Ill.) returned to play recently and had a team-high 20 points in the win over Clark Atlanta.
- Tuskegee has three players currently averaging double figures offensively on the year, with Booker and Boyd leading the way at 15.0 and 13.3 points respectively, followed by guard D'Anthony Pennington (Kansas City, Mo.) who has posted numbers of 10.7 points per contest.
- The program has also found scoring in a variety of other places, as seven players average at least 21 minutes and six points per game on the season. The list includes the three referenced above along with Martez Jones (Tuskegee, Ala.) at 9.8 points, Steve Dulley (Kansas City, Mo.) and Reco Hallmon (Atlanta, Ga.) at 8.2 points, and at Deveraux Davis (Minneapolis, Minn.) 6.9 points per game.
- The Golden Tigers have also seen success so far defensively, allowing the second fewest points per contest (59.3) in the conference, along with ranking in the top half of the SIAC in field goal percentage defense (.376) and three-point percentage defense (.257).
