TUSKEGEE, Ala. – The Tuskegee University football team collected several postseason accolades Monday, as seven players earned All-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) honors, voted on by the league's head coaches and sports information directors.
Taurean Taylor (Scottdale, Ga.) was the lone offensive player named to the First Team, while a pair of defenders in
Zelly Aldridge (Gallion, Ala.) and
Vincent Hill (Fairburn, Ga.).
A redshirt senior, Taylor finished second in the SIAC in all-purpose yards with 114.9 yards per game along with 756 rushing yards and averaging 94.5 yards per game, despite missing two games, also good for second in the league. The back also finished third in rushing touchdowns and fourth in yards per rush, while rushing for more than 100 yards twice on the year, each time going over the 200-yard mark.

Taylor also scored in five games on the year, including a four-touchdown day against Central State where he accounted for a career-high 232 rushing yards.

Hill led Tuskegee with 72 total tackles as a true freshman, including 46 solos and 26 assisted. The middle linebacker also has 9.0 tackles for loss and two sacks this season. He led the Golden Tigers in tackles five times on the year and had a pair of double-digit tackle games.

Aldridge finished fourth on the team in tackles with 50 tackles from his safety spot in 11 games, with 34 solos and 16 assists. He was tied for the team lead with two interceptions and led the team in tackles against Allen. The sophomore also recorded seven pass breakups and a forced fumble on the year after transferring from UNA.

Meanwhile Four Golden Tigers earned Second Team honors, including defenders
Jeremy Dees (Evergreen, Ala.) and
Davir Hamilton-Jackson (Compton, Calif.), along with offensive lineman
Nathan Harrison (Tuskegee, Ala.), and kicker
Arnes Huskic (Jacksonville, Fla.).
Dees was a key factor on the defensive line all season, finishing third on the team with 53 tackles. The redshirt junior led the team with four sacks and was also tied for the team lead with 9.0 tackles for loss along with a pair of quarterback hurries ad one forced fumble.

Hamilton-Jackson played the hybrid position on the defensive unit, spending time in all three levels of the defense this season. The senior finished with 43 tackles, including four for loss, two sacks and an interception on the year, with both sacks and his interception against Kentucky State to help clinch the Division.

Harrison helped anchor the offensive line all season for the Golden Tigers, starting all 11 games at left guard. The senior helped Tuskegee average over 27 points per contest and 159.5 yards per rush. The Tuskegee native also assisted in giving the Golden Tigers the top redzone offense in the league, scoring at an 87.9 percent clip. The postseason honor is the second of Weaver's career to go along with the same accolade in 2021.
Huskic finished second in the conference I both field goal percentage and field goals per game with marks of 0.562 and 0.82 made per contest. The senior also scored an average of 5.5 points per game and went 36-of-37 on extra points this season.
