TUSKEGEE, Ala. – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its weekly football honors on Monday, with senior
Davir Hamilton-Jackson (Compton, Calif.) earning the Defensive Player of the Week after his performance against Kentucky State.

The linebacker had a standout game against the Thorobreds over the weekend, totaling 11 tackles, with eight solos and three assisted. He also recorded three tackles for loss, including a pair of sacks in the win, along with an interception to help close out the game and the SIAC West Division for the Golden Tigers.
Meanwhile,
Antonio Meeks (Lilburn, Ga.) was named BOXTOROW HBCU National Player of the Week after his second consecutive game with six catches and a pair of scores on Saturday. The freshman followed up last week's SIAC Newcomer of the Week honors with six receptions and a season high 212 yards, including scores of 78 and 52 yards respectively in the win.

The SIAC includes 15 member institutions (Albany State University, Allen University, Benedict College, Central State University, Clark Atlanta University, Edward Waters University, Fort Valley State University, Kentucky State University, Lane College, LeMoyne-Owen College, Miles College, Morehouse College, Savannah State University, Spring Hill College, and Tuskegee University), which are located within a contiguous seven-state footprint (Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee and Ohio).
