On Martin Luther King Day, the Tuskegee University Men and Women's tennis team decided to volunteer their morning cleaning up Midway Road by picking up trash and properly disposing of discarded items.

New Head Coach Gregory Green wanted to give back to the community before practice. Coach Green formerly coached Football and Tennis at Tuskegee University from 1999-2005. With his return, he and Macon County Sheriff's Department organized a cleanup to take up some of the trash. 

"That's what the Golden Tigers are all about, service," said Green. "That's what leadership is about, service. That's what I want to incorporate in our program here at Tuskegee and I think that these are the things that we need to do on a regular basis and will do on a regular basis"

The Women's tennis team finished with a 14-5 record last season making it to the SIAC Championship game ultimately falling short against Clark Atlanta University 2-4 in Peachtree City.

The Men's tennis team finished with a 5-8 record last season
