Competing in its first Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Tennis Championship game since 2016, the Tuskegee University women's tennis team fell short in a championship match with Clark Atlanta University Tuesday afternoon in Peachtree City.

It's the first time the Lady Panthers have won the SIAC tournament title since 2011 when they defeated Fort Valley State.

Despite falling 4-1 and 4-3 nine days prior at the CAU Tennis Courts, TU took commanding lead early, winning two of three doubles matches. Lhe Lady Panthers responded and was able to win singles competition, which was enough to be the difference.
