The Tuskegee University baseball team is set to host Bluefield State College Wednesday afternoon in Montgomery (Ala.) at Paterson Field in a double header that starts at 12:00 p.m. The two-game clash comes just before the Golden Tigers entertain Claflin in a three-game series this weekend.

Last week, TU allowed Montevallo to take a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning which eventually led to 5-0 victory in favor of the Falcons. In that same game, Corey Stallings had the hot bat for TU going 2-for-2 at the plate. Domnic Johnson and Reginald Wiggins earned the other two hits for the Golden Tigers who only notched a total of four on the day. Christian Marshall was credited with the loss for Skegee after pitching 4.1 innings and allowing five runs on four hits, two of those runs however were Earned Runs. Marshall also struck out a pair of batters on the afternoon.

This time last season Skegee had already suffered 13 losses versus only having eight at this point. They are also winners of four out of their last seven contest.

Corey Stallings leads the team with a .370 batting average along with 10 hits. With 40 At Bats, Dominic Johnson follows close behind with a .300 batting average, but leads the team with 12 hits. Ryan Green also has double digits hits with 10. Matthew Reed sits at the tom with a team leading 8 RBI so far on the season.

First pitch between the Golden Tigers and Big Blues is set for 12:00 p.m.
