Jade Wilson scored a season-high 24 points and the Tuskegee University women's basketball team thrashed LeMoyne-Owen College Monday night at the Chappie James Center 65-48. The win marked the fifth consecutive victory for the Golden Tigers.

TU led by five points at halftime 35-30, but outscored the Magicians 30-18 in the second half, which led to Skegee claiming their 12th win at home this season against only two losses. Alexis Carter finished with 17 points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots. Carter now has 15 games scoring in double figures this year. Shelle Daniels just missed a double-double opportunity scoring nine points and hauling in 10 rebounds while India Blakely handed out eight assists.

The Golden Tigers outscored LOC in points in the paint (20-2) and points off turnovers (20-6). 

TU is now 16-5 overall and 11-2 in the SIAC. LOC falls to 12-11 and 9-6 in league play after splitting the season series. Averyale Joy paced LeMoyne with 16 points.

Skegee plays at Miles College Saturday afternoon in a double-header that starts at 1 p.m.
