The Tuskegee University baseball team will host its rival Morehouse College this weekend in a three game set that starts on Saturday and ends Sunday afternoon. The Golden Tigers and Maroon Tigers face each other in a Saturday double-header at 4:00 p.m. with the series concluding Sunday with a single game starting at noon as well.
TU enters the season 0-5 after playing four of their first five games on the road. MHC enters with a 1-3 record, and a recent victory over Stillman College. Last April after dropping game one against the Maroon Tigers, Skegee won the next two at Paterson Field to take the overall series.
If the Golden Tigers want to have success this weekend, it will start on the mound with pitcher
Christian Marshall who is expected to start Saturday. He returns to the mound after appearing in 12 games last season with 10 starts. The New Orleans, La. native also struck out 48 batters.
Dominic Johnson and
Corey Stallings each have earned four hits while
Ryan Green and
Emory Willis have notched three apiece.
First pitch with Morehouse is set for 4:00 p.m. during Saturday's double-header.
