In a rare shutout between the two schools, Tuskegee defeated Miles College 39-0 in 1929. That same season, the Golden Tigers finished the year with a perfect 9-0 record to go along with an SIAC and National Black College Championship

Tuskegee will face the last name of Ruffin back to back weekends. Greg Ruffin is the head coach at Edward Waters and his brother is the head man at Miles College. Both had previous coaching stints at Tuskegee
