Genesis Adams obtained her third double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds in the loss against the Columbus State Cougars which would be the second consecutive loss 80-61 on Tuesday night.
The first half was dominated by Columbus State with guard LeeAysia Williamson leading her team with 14 points and three rebounds. Columbus State went into halftime with a 42-27 lead, shooting 41%(10-22) from the floor and 40% from beyond the arc (7-12 3PFG)
At the start of the second half, Columbus State kept their lead as the Golden Tigers fought an uphill battle; attempting to close their deficit in the 4th quarter. The Golden Tigers went on a run that would put them down by nine (65-56) with a pair of free throws by Normesha Pitts who had eight points and four rebounds in the game. A deep three-pointer from Williamson sealed the game and extended the lead for Columbus State to notch the win.
Lena Yoonis & Adams finished the night as the only Golden Tigers in double-figures scoring a combined 25 points.
The Golden Tigers travel to Albany State on December 2nd. Tip-off is set for 4:30 pm CST.
