Myles Thomas scored a game high 20 points in a game that had featured 10 lead changes in the contest. This tight game came down to the final seconds as the University of Montevallo pulled away to get their biggest lead of the contest of seven with 0:37 seconds in the contest and win 77-73. 

The Golden Tigers went into halftime down 33-32 as a layup from Mike Evans put the Golden Tigers within one point. The Golden Tigers came out in the second half acquiring their biggest lead of the contest, going on a 10-1 run to gain a 42-34 lead with a 3 point shot from Myles Thomas at 18:33. James Eads contributed 10 points, shooting 57% (4-of-7).
