The Tuskegee University men's and women's cross country teams officially ended the season at the 2019 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Cross Country Championships Friday afternoon in Rock Hill, S.C. The women's team finished fifth overall while the men's team came on eighth place.
The women's squad totaled 155 points with an overall time of 1:57:16 along with an average individual time of 23:28.
Kayla Howard was the first Golden Tiger to cross the line, finishing just inside the top 15 with a 14th place finish out of 77 runners. Her time was 21:27.8.
Angelique Johnson finished 27th at 22:41.0
Jazymon Balous and
Johanna Key both finished among the top 50 runners.
The men's team tallied up 242 points with an average individual finish time of 32:52 in the 8k race.
Jelanie White led TU with a time of 29:56.1, TJ Harry clocked in at 31:56.2.
Ayinde Chism along with DeShawn Whitehorn rounded out the scoring for the men's team.
