The Tuskegee University women's basketball team was outscored in the fourth quarter by 15 points which ended up being the difference in a 72-64 loss at home to Kentucky State on Senior Night at Chappie James Arena. The Golden Tigers will await their fate in terms of seeding for next week's conference tournament in Birmingham.

Tuesday evening's home finale marked the last game to be played at Tuskegee University for seniors Asha Stegall and Cheyenne Williams who scored nine points and eights points respectively. Mya Parker paced TU off the bench scoring a team-high 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the field. 

TU topped KSU in a couple of categories on the evening. Points in the paint (40-18) and points off turnovers (23-11).  In addition, the Golden Tigers forced 25 turnovers.

Brittani Rizzi scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Thorobreds.  Jordan Campbell added 17 points of her own.

Despite the loss, TU shot 41.3 percent from the field, but the iron was unkind from beyond the arc as they were only able to convert 18.2 percent of their shots on 4-of-22 shooting.  The Golden Tigers received better production of the bench outscoring its opponent 34-10 in that category.  Shelle Daniels and Ashiala Jackson each scored nine points while Daniels added seven rebounds. Taylor Miller chipped in eight points with Alexus Shirrells handing out six assists. 

Tuskegee (6-20, 5-13) will compete next week at 2018 SIAC Basketball Tournament that takes place Feb. 26-March 3 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham (Ala.)
