The Tuskegee University men's basketball team is hoping its momentum from the win over Johnson C. Smith Monday night carries over to this weekend's slate of games.  The Golden travle to Kentucky State on Saturday and Central State Monday evening.  Both games could potentially shake things up in the West Division Standings.

Last time out, four players scored in double figures and TU snapped a five game losing streak with a 74-70 win at Johnson C. Smith. Myles Thomas, who made five three pointers against the Golden Bulls in the last meeting scored 15 points along with three treys to lead TU.  Travis Flagg also added 15 points and five assists while James Eads poured in 12 points and eight rebounds on the evening. Perhaps the most impressive stat line of that night was the fact that Tuskegee (2-12,1-5) held Robert Davis, who scored 35 points for JCS in the previous meeting to 18 points on 6-of-24 shooting including an 0-for-7 mark from three point range. Daniel Roach came off of the bench for Skegee to score 14 points on 3-of-4 shooting from three point range. His play off the bench has turned out to be crucial as the team converted on 42.9 percent of their three pointers earlier this week.

Defensively, Tuskegee will have its sights set on Ray Croon who was named SIAC Newcomer of the Week on Tuesday. He has been a critical factor for the Thorobreds as he started off the new year averaging 22 points per game as he helped KSU to a 1-1 record last week. The junior turned in a well-rounded performance with a team-high 24 points against PC and recorded another team-high with 10 rebounds and seven assists. Croon scored 16 of 24 points in the second half, for his third double-double of the year. The 6'6 guard finished the week with 44 total points, 15 rebounds, seven assists, three steals, and two blocks. Croon is currently leading the team in scoring average with 16.3 points per game.
