The Tuskegee University men's and women's basketball teams are both set to face Benedict College and Claflin on a South Carolina roundtrip that starts Thursday and ends Saturday afternoon.

The men's team returns to the hardwood following a 13-day layoff and looks to regroup for the new start of the season after falling at Palm Beach Atlantic before the Holiday Break.  In that game, TU outscored PBA by eight points (51-43) in the second half, but the Sailfish scored the first 19 of the contest creating a hole the Golden Tigers would not overcome leading to a 78-69 loss.  Two days prior, a late rally attempt at Fort Valley State was denied in a 60-53 loss to the Wildcats.

Tuskegee (1-10, 1-3) earned their only victory of the season at home against Spring Hill College. Paine College (2-10, 1-4) also has one league victory. A five point win over LeMoyne Owen College.

Saturday marks the second game in five days for the women who dropped a non-conference contest to Conference USA opponent UAB last Saturday.  On Dec 16, TU held on for a 59-51 win over FVSU, earning its first SIAC and road victory of the season.
