The Tuskegee University men's basketball team ends its two game road trip Tuesday afternoon at  2 p.m. when they face Palm Beach Atlantic, located in West Palm Beach, Florida.  The Sunshine State Conference opponent has played one other school (Paine College) from the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC). The game can be heard live on the Tuskegee Digital Network.

PBA enters the Tuesday battle after hanging around for the entire contest but eventually fell to No. 2/7 Queens University of Charlotte 79-71 last Saturday afternoon. The 'Fish (7-8) had four players score in double figures with De'Ondre Jackson leading the way with 22 points. Jackson scored 13 in the second half but PBA was never able to overtake the Royals (10-0). Queens led throughout the second half but never pulled away until the final minute.

TU trailed 53-39 in a 60-53 loss at Fort Valley State with 4:43 left to play after a Myles Thomas free throw last Saturday before a late rally started. Daniel Roach, who saw his first action of the season converted on back-to-back three pointers bringing the Golden Tigers to within 10 points 55-45.  Two possessions later, Travis Flagg made a layup while drawing foul. His made free throw completed the three-point play making the score 55-48 at the 2:06 mark. On the ensuing possession, Flagg drained a deep three pointer with 1:02 left in the game narrowing the deficit to 55-51. FVSU went on to make five more free throws to eventually put the game away.

The Golden Tigers will be facing a red hot program shooting the basketball. PBA shot 53.8 percent in their loss including a blistering 59 percent in the first half. The 'fish knocked down 6-of-15 from beyond the arc and 9-of-15 from the free throw line.

Following Tuesday afternoon's game, the Golden Tigers will take an extended break for the holidays before running the gamut of the conference season, starting with a home game against Paine on Jan. 1 in a double-header with the women that starts at 1 p.m.
