After taking a few days off for finals, the Tuskegee University women's basketball team is set to take on Albany State Thursday evening from the Storm Dome. This is will be the first game for the Golden Tigerrettes in nine days.
Despite their last game being a loss, TU enters the contest having played one of their better outings of the season, a 61-57 defeat to the University of West Florida. Five days prior to that rematch with the Argonauts, Tuskegee (1-8) suffered a 30 point loss to UWF for their fifth straight defeat.
Albany State (5-7) is coming off of a 101-97 overtime defeat against Georgia Southwestern The Lady Golden Rams had five notch double figures in the loss to the Canes.
Kayla Green and
Ashley Johnson tied for team high with 16 apiece while
Tyra Thompson and
Shantrell Hollandboth put forth 15 point efforts.
Elesha Foster registered her second double-double of the season with 13 points and a game high 10 rebounds.
The last time the two schools met, TU topped ASU 72-58. Thursday night's game will be carried live via
Albany State athletics at 2 p.m..
