*Willie Slater has earned a total of 109 career wins at Tuskegee.  That number is second in the state of Alabama to only the University of Alabama head football coach Nick Saban, who has amassed 123 wins with the Crimson Tide

When Tuskegee scores first, the Golden Tigers are 7-1, the only blemish was against Albany State in which TU scored on its first drive

Tuskegee is a perfect 5-0 when kicking off games at 1:00 p.m CDT/2:00 p.m. EDT

Series history with Fort Valley State
* Dating back to the 2000 season, the Golden Tigers have won 13 of the last 15 meetings against Fort Valley State. TU leads the overall series record 31-20-2. The biggest margin of victory for TU took place in 2012 in which the Golden Tigers outscored the Wildcats 49-18.FVSU won 59-0 in 1989

15 players still remember
* 15 is the number of players remaining from the 2014 roster... which was that last time Tuskegee faced Fort Valley State resulting in a 35-28 victory for the Golden Tigers

SIAC Championship Game Appearance
This is Tuskegee's first appearance in the SIAC Championship game since a 47-41 win over Albany State three years ago in 2014

Thompson the tackling machine
*Senior linebacker Osband Thompson now has 117 tackles on the season, the second most in the nation. This mark is also 34 stops better than the second leading tackler in the SIAC. The Miami, Fla. native is also the first TU linebacker to lead the team in interceptions (4) since Jewell Ratlif did so in 2015

Tuskegee vs Fort Valley 30 Years ago
* 30 years ago, Tuskegee defeated Fort Valley 17-14 en route to the 1987 SIAC Football Championship. That same team finished with a record of 9-1-0 and at that point became the first TU team to win the league in 13 years

Stingy passing defense
* The Tuskegee defense has not allowed more than 200 yards passing in the last six outings. during this span, they have also forced seven interceptions

Redzone Offense
*Tuskegee has scored points on 20 of their 27 trips to the redzone. The Golden Tigers were a perfect 6-of-6 which accounted for 36 of the 50 points scored against Miles College last Saturday 

SIAC Roundtrip winning streak 
Tuskegee is actively on a 13 game SIAC road trip winning streak. Not counting neutral site contest, TU has not suffered a loss at a visiting conference team's home since falling at Kentucky State in 2011
