The Tuskegee University women's basketball team is on the road for a non-conference game with the University of West Florida Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. at the UWF Field House. A game that can be heard live on the
Tuskegee Digital Network at 5:55 p.m.
The Gulf South opponent will be the third Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) team UWF has faced this season. The Argonauts defeated Albany State and Fort Valley State respectively. Â
Junior Halee Nieman scored 17 points to lead three players in double figures as UWF was dominant on defense, defeating Saint Leo, 71-47, in their home opener this past Sunday. Meanwhile after its win at Auburn-Montgomery last Tuesday, the Golden Tigers are losers of their last two (Young Harris College and Clark Atlanta).
In the conference opener against, Tuskegee (1-5, 0-1 SIAC) outscored the Lady Panthers, erasing a double-digit deficit and cutting the CAU's lead to three points with seven seconds remaining. Â But Holloway hit two free throws in the final seconds to put the game away.
The two teams last meeting was in 2013 with UWF winning 83-57. Fans can also watch the game
