The Tuskegee University women's basketball team returns home to host Young Harris College Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and is looking to keep its same trend of winning following their two point win over Auburn-Montgomery (AUM) on Tuesday.
Jade Wilson scored eight of her 16 points in the first half on 4-of-6 shooting from the field to help secure the team's first win of the season. Wilson has been a bright spot and has stepped in to fill the void of last season's leading scorer in
Rachel Brownlee. The Indianapolis, Ind. native leads the Golden Tigers in points (15.8) rebounds (6.8). She is also ranked among the Top 10 ten leaders in scoring in the SIAC.
In the win over AUM, Ashiala Jackson came off of the bench for TU and scored 11 points with seven rebounds .Teja Finley also was in double figures with 10 points of her own. The Golden Tigers scored 32 points in the paint holding AUM to only 18. The Golden Tigers scored 29 points off the bench.
This will mark the first game in exactly one week that the Mountain Lions have played. They too were successful against AUM last Saturday 59-43.
