* Last Saturday's 5th Quarter Classic win gave Tuskegee its third Division I FCS opponent

Linebacker and Mobile native Davoris Thomas entertained his home crowd in the 5th
Quarter Classic earning MVP honors after registering nine tackles on the evening

Thompson the tackling machine
*Senior linebacker Osband Thompson is ranked second in the nation in tackles. With three
games left on the schedule, he is nine stops shy of notching 100 on the year

Ezell turning the corner
* After only throwing one touchdown pass through the first seven weeks, Tuskegee tossed
three touchdowns against Jackson State with two coming from the arm of Jamarcus Ezell
and one from Ahmad Deramus

Redzone Defense
*Tuskegee is ranked 10th nationally and second in the SIAC in Redzone Defense. The
Golden Tigers have only allowed its opponents to score 60 percent of the time they enter
the area

Tuskegee Digital Network
Frank Lee and Ken Woodard will provided commentary for the 2017 football season. Lee
returns to booth after providing play-by-play duties for the Golden Tigers for over 25
years. Woodard will provide color analysis for the network. The former TU great played
linebacker with Denver Broncos, San Diego Chargers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is also
known as the first Tuskegee player to compete in a Super Bowl during the 1986-87 season.

October Fest
* In the last five seasons, Tuskegee has posted a record of 22-2 in the month of October.
Their last defeat came in 2015 against UNC-Pembroke

Homecoming Change
* Tuskegee University and the Tuskegee University Athletic Department announce that
the university's 2017 homecoming game has been rescheduled from November 4 to the
Golden Tigers' matchup with the Central State Marauders on October 28. The change in
the date for homecoming will not affect the 1 p.m. scheduled kickoff time on October 28

Tuskegee leads SIAC, ranked second in NCAA Football attendance
*For the third consecutive year, and the seventh time in school history, Tuskegee University
football finished second in attendance in NCAA Division II according to the numbers
released by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Golden Tigers
finished first among schools in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference

Running back by committee
* Five running backs (Eric Bight, Phillip Brown Marquez Burdette, Hoderick Lowe, and
Justice Owens), have all scored at least one touchdown this season. Lowe has scored
four of the team's 11 TDs

Closing out the dreaded road schedule
* Out of 10 games this season, Kentucky State seven will be played on the road. Tuskegee
is featured in three annual classics leaving only three hame games in 2017

Last Week:
*Jamarcus Ezell scored on a quarterback keeper in overtime and Tuskegee (4-2, 3-0) won
the 82nd Annual Tuskegee-Morehouse Classic 23-17 Saturday afternoon at A.J. McClung
Memorial Stadium in Columbus, Ga.

*Slater's 106 wins are second-most in school history behind Cleve Abbott's 202 wins
from 1923-54.

Scoring First is the key
When Tuskegee scores first, the Golden Tigers are 5-1, the only blemish was against
Albany State in which TU scored on its first drive
