FRANKFORT, Ky. | The Tuskegee University men's basketball team heads north to Kentucky and Ohio for a pair of key Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) games this weekend, looking to build off of the momentum from the last two conference victories.
The Golden Tigers and Kentucky State will face off Saturday afternoon at 3 pm (est), before traveling north to Central State for a 7:30 pm (est) tip on Monday night. Both games can be heard on the Tuskegee Digital Network.
Tuskegee (3-12, 2-4 SIAC) is coming off of an 85-67 victory over Spring Hill College in their last outing, in which four players combined to score as many points as Spring Hill did for the entire contest – 67 – led by
James Eads with a game-high 26 points. The sophomore shot 60 (6-of-10) percent from the floor and a perfect 100 (10-of-10) percent from the free throw line in the win.
Austin Cherry, a sophomore, came off the bench to add 19; while sophomore
Daniel Roach added another 13 and seven rebounds. Freshman
Cam Grepke finished the night with nine points and five assists off the bench.
Eads, a preseason All-SIAC selection, leads Tuskegee in scoring at 15.0 points per game, while also grabbing 3.5 rebounds per game. The sophomore is shooting 80.5 (70-of-87) percent from the free throw line on the year.
