TUSKEGEE, Ala. | The Tuskegee University men's basketball team looks to win back-to-back games and build off of their victory Monday, when they hit the floor Thursday night against Spring Hill College in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) action.
Tip is set for 7:30 pm, and the game can be seen on the Tuskegee Digital Network.
Tuskegee (2-12, 1-4 SIAC) is coming off of a 75-57 victory over Paine College in their last outing, ending a four-game losing streak in the process. In the contest, junior
Elijah McMillan posted a double-double and led four players in double figures, scoring 24 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Freshman
Myles Thomas added 18, sophomore
James Eads 13 and junior
Travis Flagg added 11 points and nine assists in the win.
Eads, a preseason All-SIAC selection, leads Tuskegee in scoring at 14.2 points per game, while also grabbing 3.5 rebounds per game. The sophomore is shooting 77.9 (60-of-77) percent from the free throw line on the year. Meanwhile, Flagg is second on the team in scoring at 11.3 points per game while dishing out 3.1 assists; while McMillan is averaging 11.2 points per game through five games this season, while leading the team in rebounding at 7.1 per game.
After playing the 13 games with only 10 players on the roster, the Golden Tigers have welcomed back McMillan,
Daniel Roach and
Cam Grepke to the lineup. The trio has responded with minutes to spell players, while also combining to average 14.2 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.
Tuskegee and Spring Hill have met just one time, facing each other on the road last season with the Golden Tigers claiming a 53-48 victory.
