TUSKEGEE, Ala. | The Tuskegee University cheerleading program will hold tryouts for the official mascot of Tuskegee University inside Chappie James Arena in mid-August.

Application Deadline Date: August 16, 2016
Tryout Dates:  August 18, 2016; 6:00pm-until - Chappie James Arena (Gym Floor)

The tryout session for school mascot is open to both males and females.  The mascot is expected to be highly energetic, friendly, display good sportsmanship at all times and keep the fans involved in supporting the team.  The tryout session is open for public viewing following cheerleader tryouts.

Former TU Student-Athletes (2015-2016)	New to TU Athletics (2016-2017)
Financally cleared	Financially cleared
CGPA 2.000 or better	Sickle Cell Test Results
Athletic physical within the last six (6) months before tryouts	Athletic physical within the last six (6) months before tryouts

Skill

Prepare a 2-3 minute routine/skit displaying your creativity and talents (ability to engage the crowd, dance, humor, etc.).  Your presentation should be entertaining and crowd pleasing, as well as appropriate.  Bring your own music and props (if necessary).

Attire

All interested students must wear a t-shirt, shorts, socks and flat-bottomed athletic shoes with laces.  The shirt and shorts should not be excessively loose or tight.  No jewelry, tanks, biker shorts or leggings/tights (without proper cover).
